मुख्य विषय: सेवानिवृत्त अग्निवीरों के लिए आरक्षण

सरकार ने केंद्रीय सशस्त्र पुलिस बलों (CAPFs) और असम राइफल्स (Assam Rifles) में कांस्टेबल (जनरल ड्यूटी) और राइफलमैन के पदों पर भर्ती के लिए 'पूर्व-अग्निवीर' (Ex-Agniveer) नाम की एक नई श्रेणी (Category) बनाई है।
इन पदों की भर्ती में पूर्व-अग्निवीरों के लिए निम्नलिखित प्रावधान किए गए हैं:
1. 50% पदों पर आरक्षण: कुल रिक्तियों (Vacancies) का 50% हिस्सा सीधे तौर पर पूर्व-अग्निवीरों के लिए आरक्षित (Reserve) होगा।
2. आयु सीमा (Age Limit) में छूट: निर्धारित अधिकतम आयु सीमा में 3 वर्ष की छूट दी जाएगी। इसके अलावा, जो पूर्व-अग्निवीरों का पहला बैच (First Batch) होगा, उसके उम्मीदवारों को अधिकतम आयु सीमा में 5 वर्ष की विशेष छूट मिलेगी।
3. शारीरिक और लिखित परीक्षा से छूट: पूर्व-अग्निवीरों को फिजिकल स्टैंडर्ड टेस्ट (PST), फिजिकल एफिशिएंसी टेस्ट (PET) और लिखित परीक्षा (Written Examination) से पूरी तरह छूट (Exemption) दी गई है। यानी उन्हें ये परीक्षाएं नहीं देनी होंगी।

समर्पित एक्स-अग्निवीर विंग: पूर्व-अग्निवीरों की आगे की प्रगति और समन्वय का प्रबंधन करने के लिए गृह मंत्रालय के अधीन एक विशेष 'एक्स-अग्निवीर विंग' की स्थापना की गई है।
*वर्तमान स्थिति: नोटिस में यह भी स्पष्ट किया गया है कि वर्तमान में अग्निवीरों के पहले बैच ने अभी तक अपना सेवा कार्यकाल (Term of engagement) पूरा नहीं किया है।
